NEW PROJECT PHOTOGRAPHY RELEASED OF FRAMELESS GLASS LINK TO GRADE II LISTED HOME
IQ Glass has released a new set of professional project images from Goscote House, showcasing a frameless glass connection carefully inserted between contemporary interventions and a Grade II listed family home in the Midlands.
Designed to preserve the legibility of the original elevations while enabling a modern extension, the glass link creates a light touch physical and visual connection between old and new. The newly available imagery highlights how minimal glazing detailing was used to maintain uninterrupted sightlines to the listed fabric, allowing the historic building to remain clearly readable from the exterior.
Set within the grounds of an established residential plot, the project required a highly considered architectural approach. The frameless glass connection acts as a deliberate pause between architectural eras, avoiding physical dominance over the listed structure while improving circulation and usability within the home.

“ On listed buildings, the detailing around junctions is critical. By pushing the glass link towards a frameless, recessive design, we were able to connect new spaces to the original house without visually or physically competing with the historic architecture.”

The newly released photography by Chris Terry captures the precision of the glass installation and the architectural intent behind the link structure, illustrating how modern glazing can be used sensitively within heritage contexts.
