UNDERSTATED LUXURY: A BRONZE URBAN FRONT DOOR

Homeowner Jade describes her barn conversion in Buckinghamshire and reveals why she chose a bronze Urban Front door.
" My home is created from two barns with originally just a foot of space separating them. My husband and I worked with DP Architects ' David Parker to create a layout that made the most of the farreaching vistas. Using lots of glass was a design choice to capture the views, and that led us to build the entire house in a contemporary style. The theme of my home is understated luxury, which guided me towards elements of bronze and unlacquered brass, which ages and gives a much softer look than polished brass. bronze lifts the whole look. We chose black for the internal side of the door, which blends seamlessly with the black wooden flooring.
