CASE STUDY : VICTORIAN FAMILY HOME , CHISWICK
Chaunceys recently collaborated with Pringle & Pringle , a Surrey-based interior design studio , on the renovation of a beautiful Victorian family home in Chiswick . Chaunceys supplied and installed Cornish Slate oak flooring with 180mm planks in the hallway , paired with 15mm x 180mm chevron flooring in the adjoining rooms .
The result is a stunning combination of warm , mid-toned finishes and playful flooring patterns that perfectly balance beauty with creativity . The images below showcase how this thoughtful pairing can bring warmth and artistry into a home while complementing the character of the space .
WARM WOOD : CONNECTING TO EARTHY TONES AND TEXTURES
As the earthy tones and textures trend continues to dominate interior design , warm wood flooring and cladding has become a key feature in creating calming , grounded spaces . This style draws inspiration from nature ’ s own palette , helping to create rooms that feel inviting and homely .
Timber is the perfect way to connect to the earthy tones trend , as the natural character and warmth of wood brings a sense of depth and comfort to interiors . Whether you ’ re layering textures in a cosy family home or embracing a soft , minimalist aesthetic , warm-toned floors or interior wood cladding are a timeless choice .
The appeal of wood lies in its ability to bridge traditional and contemporary styles , making it highly versatile . It ’ s a trend that not only looks
beautiful but also supports sustainable and ecoconscious living . People are naturally drawn to organic , grounding materials and both timber flooring and cladding offer this in abundance . The subtle grain patterns , natural tones and inviting warmth of wood make it easy to create comforting environments .
CASE STUDY : EDWARDIAN SOULFUL HOME , SURREY
A project that perfectly embodies the earthy tones and textures trend is this recent renovation of an Edwardian home in Surrey . For this soulful space , Chaunceys ’ Church Pew Brown oak flooring was the ideal choice , and helped to transform it into the serene and welcoming retreat it has become . The rich caramel browns ofthe warm finish beautifully complement the property ’ s traditional architecture , while the medium-brushed texture brought an elegant aged look .
Interior designer Anouska Tamony curated the home with careful attention to detail , combining classic design with a touch of playfulness . Inspired by the charm of country house hotels , the interiors reflect the couple ’ s personal style and their desire to create a home which suited their busy lives , shared with their French bulldog Rolo .
The result is a cosy sanctuary , which featured Chaunceys engineered oak flooring in both plank and herringbone formats , spanning the hallway , livingroom , study , landing , and master bedroom . The combination of plank and herringbone designs highlights the versatility of warm wood tones , bringing both character and elegance to the home .
