The Sash Window Workshop were contacted to work on a neo-Georgian property in a Conservation Area in West London . The project involved upgrading 17 windows and a set of French doors .
The new joinery needed to be double glazed to improve energy efficiency , but otherwise be a replica of the original windows and doors .
Although the doors required complete replacement , most of the window frames were in a good condition . A quotation was therefore provided for a mixture of new sashes into the existing frames and , for items where the frame had deteriorated , complete replacement .
The customer decided to proceed , and a survey was arranged to confirm the measurements , ensuring that the new windows and doors fitted perfectly .
The joinery was manufactured by The Sash Window Workshop using Accoya wood , which comes with a 50-year anti-rot guarantee and is known for its stability and durability , before being installed by their experienced fitting team .
