Casa Aramara is located on the northern bay inside the Peninsula Papagayo Luxury Resort in Guanacaste , Costa Rica . The home sits on a extremely challenging site with very aggressive slopes and long and undulating site . This called for the design of 3 separate articulating modules , each placed at different elevations and different angles to best accommodate the site ’ s challenging nature .
The home is an example of modern tropical design , where the seamless indoor-outdoor connection and the integration of the natural jungle and the ocean view is the main focus . Importance on natural materials with the usage of natural teak siding and sun control screens , contrast with the charcoal-grey stucco surfaces and soft earth-tone floors to provide a palette which integrates into the intense greenery of the natural landscapes .
