The accent flooring in opposing white marble-effect tiles help unify the kitchen and living area , as well as play a central role in emphasising all of the different shapes , tones and textures in contemporary black .

Our brief was to bring a refined aesthetic to the engine room of a busy home while ensuring that the footprint was user-friendly 24 / 7 . Introducing pattern and texture with the made-to-measure surfaces enhances the monolithic feel of the island unit , making it an even more inviting space to linger over drinks , dinner or shared family time . In my opinion , a premium kitchen needs to look good and feel good , so we really focussed on ergonomics when space planning to ensure that everything was at a comfortable height from built-in appliances and bespoke shelving to seating .”
