Not content with a standard spiral or simple curve , the client chose this twisted descent to travel through two storeys , where there was no central pivot point , the stair turning through the space to allow for entrance and exit to occur in parallel but opposing directions . This meant the whole curve faced the fantastic countryside views , uninterrupted thanks to the glass balustrading .
This seamless arc was really worth the extra time and effort put into designing and making it , fabricated in steel for strength and clad in specially imported Pietra Plana stone that match the floor tiles Spiral supplied for that flawless finish .
