Interiors & Interior Design Luxury London living: Islinghaus Apartments Islinghaus Apartments is a luxurious duplex apartment development, located in the popular Angel district of North London. Designed with the London working professional as the end-user in mind, £800,000 was spent on bringing this previously neglected property to life. The extensive renovation project was the first in the capital for Leeds-based contractor Priestley Construction, part of the wider Priestley Group, which specialises in heritage and listed buildings. With this scheme, Priestley Construction has delivered its highest specification project yet. The apartments provide the perfect setting for those wanting to relax while still being located at the centre of the city’s action. Having completed multiple successful residential and commercial developments throughout Leeds and the North of England, they were ready to make their mark in London. Alongside this first project, Priestley Construction already has a number of other developments underway for more clients across the city. Starting with an ageing public house on Packington Street in Islington, Priestley Construction meticulously transformed the building to produce three stunning duplex apartments for rent. 54 Photography: Andrew Sidebottom, Freelance Photographer, Post Production Editor and Product Developer at 2.8 Creative. Work to transform the public house was no small feat. The developers were faced with the challenge of creating enough space to ensure the apartments could be duplex homes. This meant that construction work began with a complete strip-out, followed by raising the roof of the building to allow for the second floor.
