Doors, Windows & Fittings Window and door trends for your home in 2020 Whether it’s music or food, trends are constantly developing to keep up with what consumers want and what people are talking about. People want what’s popular, and windows and doors are no exception. Here, Richard Banks, commercial director of PVCu windows and doors manufacturer Euramax Solutions, discusses window and door trends. Windows and doors are now more valued than they have ever been and developments in interior and exterior home designs have led to an increase in modern windows and doors. From colours, to comfort, the desire for stylish, plus energy saving windows and doors is rapidly increasing. 28 Style Functionality is no longer the key factor that’s considered when purchasing windows and doors – now, size matters, too. Popular window styles include fixed, sash and tilt and turn, however, people also want their windows and doors to be bold statement features for their home. For example, arched or bowed windows are being replaced with large rectangle floor to ceiling windows to accompany a modern style. Furthermore, open plan design is encouraging windows to be used to increase natural light and to bring the outside in.
