Iconic Gullane Building Offers Buyers Peace Of Mind
A QUALITY homebuilder is offering

existing building. It wasn’t until we
stripped back the walls that we knew
exactly what we were working with.
“One of the biggest changes we have
made to the structure is getting rid of
the more recent extensions made by
the fire college and so restoring the
building back to how it looked 100
years ago.
“This type of work does take time, but
the end result is spacious, new-build
apartments set within one of the most
iconic buildings in East Lothian.”
First built in 1899, the building was
originally a seaside hotel for visitors
to Gullane, before acting as the
headquarters for the Polish army
during the Second World War.
More recently, it was the main training
centre for the Scottish Fire and Rescue
Service.
Henderson House was officially
launched last September by George
Hope of Luffness, the great-grandson
of Henry Hope of Luffness who first
commissioned the creation of the
building as The Marine Hotel.
