04 - 08 Chiswick House
AUA has converted a semi-detached multi-occupancy house
into a family dwelling in the heart of Chiswick.
The brief was to create a large open plan ground reception
space, with clear visual connections, together with a
new basement, rear landscaped garden and upper bedrooms.
17 - 19 Urban Cottage
The idea of the ‘Urban Cottage’ stems from a shared fascination
between the Architect and Client with early colonial workers
cottages, and an appreciation for the charm and scale they offer
to the existing urban context of Central Christchurch.
30 - 32 Slot House
AUA has remodelled an end of terraced house to provide a greater
and more free owing accommodation for a family. The design
brief was one of simplicity and complete functionality while
maintaining an underlining warmth a house should infuse.
36 - 38 English Heritage
English Heritage Buildings has seen a growth in demand for
creative and bespoke designs since the government announced
an extension to the relaxation of planning regulations
last year.

Chiswick House
Pages 04 - 08
After thirty years of Seaview holidays Michael and Josephine
Smith were determined to retire to the island. And a family home
for children and grandchildren was very much the order of the
day.
58 - 60 Out of the Box
Villa Out of the box is situated on the edge of Zoetermeer, next
to the Bentwoud Park. The design is a contemporary
interpretation of the rural surroundings.
64 - 66 40 Hill Road
Designing the interior space is often determined by the
placement of doors and windows. For this project, the clients
wanted an open-plan feel but with defined areas.
74 - 78 Lomandmuir Farm
The brief was to build an energy efficient home which was in
keeping with the local surroundings. It was important to Mr and
Mrs Orr to build a property that encompassed traditional values
with a modern twist as the plot sits beside farmland.
