DESIGN FOCUS AT JANUARY FURNITURE SHOW Interior designers, architects and specifiers heading to the January Furniture Show 2017 (JFS) can expect an even bigger and better event with extended show space and more exhibitors. The four-day show, which runs from Sunday 22 until Wednesday 25 January at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC), gives architects, designers and specifiers the first chance to see up and coming trends in furniture and furnishings. With over 300 exhibitors already signed up, there will be everything from fabrics, soft furnishings, upholstery, flooring, cabinets and giftware across the five full halls on show. Some of the UK’s major industry names exhibiting their designs, products and innovations for those interested in sourcing furniture and furnishings for the contract and interior design markets, include: Parker Knoll, Duresta, Collins & Hayes, Libra, Nathan, Celebrity, Kesterport, Cintinque, Lebus, Ercol, Whitemeadow, Willis & Gambier, Gallery Direct, Alstons, Furmanac, Dar Lighting, Michael Tyler, Pacific Lifestyle, Rauch, Tom Schneider and Tetrad. Laraine Janes of the January Furniture Show said: “Designers attending the show will find plenty of inspiration from the many beautiful stands, product designs and concepts. We are excited that the calibre of companies exhibiting is very high for 2017, so it is the perfect show at the perfect time of year to see what trends lie ahead.” 56 Here’s a taster of who you can expect to see at this year’s show. Collins & Hayes was proud to be a runner up and highly commended for its Brooke sofa range in the Furniture Awards 2016 Upper Level category at last year’s show. For 2017 it will be introducing brand new, innovative designs with huge emphasis on comfort and a natural fibre fabric collection.
