Decking That Offers A Luxurious Hardwood Look
And Ultra Low Maintenance
James Latham’s latest range of premium
composite decking offers the natural
look and feel of tropical wood with
outstanding performance properties
including; minimum maintenance,
superior stain resistance, extra high
impact strength and a high friction
surface.
Manufactured in Germany by UPM,
ProFi Deck is offered in two stunning
design styles, UPM ProFi Classic Deck
and UPM ProFi Design Deck.
With two new additions for 2016,
the UPM ProFi Classic Deck range
offers the beauty of a hardwood deck
without the high maintenance. Wood
and cellulose fibres are encapsulated in
specially selected polymers to provide
lasting protection from the weather.
The advanced composite technology
provides superior resistance to UV, frost,
stains and impacts when compared to
traditional composite or wood decks.
Rich colour tones and veins are
combined with a natural texture that is a
delight to touch. The impressive range
now includes UPM ProFi Loggia S1
(a new addition for 2016), UPM ProFi
Lifecycle S1 (also new for 2016) and
UPM ProFi Lifecycle S2.
The UPM ProFi Design Deck range
gives outdoor living a fresh and modern
feel. Renowned designers from around
the world have been inspired to work
with the wide colour range and clean
looks. The Design Deck range includes
UPM ProFi Deck 150 which offers
high impact and scratch resistance, a
reversible profile, a closed surface for
low maintenance and Lignin-free colour
durability. Plus, it is also manufactured
using more than 50% recyclable
materials.

“The WPC decking market in the US is
currently worth $1.6 billion and is set
to grow to $3 billion by 2020 which is
enormous and here in the UK we are
seeing its popularity growing all the time
both in the commercial and residential
sectors as the market comes to appreciate
not only the low maintenance benefits
but also the long term cost advantage.”
He continued, “The quality of the UPM
ProFi Deck range is exceptional. Longlife and
ultra-low maintenance has been
engineered into the product, plus, due to
the innovative use of recycled materials
– some of the range is made using up to
95% - it has won several international
awards, with the product making a major
contribution to reducing traditional
landfill and incineration which is really
important to James Latham.”
