Moduleo hits Hollyoaks
Luxury vinyl flooring from Moduleo, was chosen by the
design team at Lime Pictures for a new look Price Slice
set on award-winning soap, Hollyoaks.
The team selected the Classic Oak 24438 from the
manufacturer’s Transform range for the village shop, as
a result of its outstanding durability and stylish finish.
Julian Perkins, production designer at Lime Pictures,
comments: “We recently installed a number of new sets
within Hollyoaks.
“These spaces have extremely heavy use and way in
excess of what you would expect in a domestic environment.
“In all areas so far Moduleo has performed extremely well.
The colour range we had to choose from was comprehensive and interesting.”
All products in Moduleo’s Transform range feature a
hard-wearing top layer, which is scuff and stain resistant,
making them ideal for any commercial environment.

nora flooring installed in the
Science Museum’s largest exhibition
A new exhibition, known as Information Age, was recently opened at the Science Museum by her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth II.
To meet the criteria set by the client, 2,800 SQM of noraplan uni 3mm thickness rubber flooring from nora systems was chosen for its extreme durability and resilience
in high traffic areas. Guaranteed colour consistency, to ensure a uniform colour throughout, and softness under
foot with noise reduction properties also contributed
greatly to this large open space with high ceilings.
Installed using the nora system blue levelling compounds
and adhesive products, this floor provides excellent environmental credentials, meeting Blue Angel standard.

Karndean Designflooring Release New RIBA
Accredited CPD
The UK’s market leader in luxury vinyl flooring Karndean
Designflooring has released its latest RIBA approved
CPD for architects and specifiers looking to consider the
elderly and the vulnerable when designing new spaces.
Entitled ‘Inclusive Flooring Design: Where Form and
Function Meet Legislation’, the long awaited CPD is set
to inform and inspire specifiers designing flooring in environments where the visually impaired, patients with
dementia, and the elderly will be present.
The curriculum will cover key topics such as reducing the
risk of slipping, complying with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and importance of colour contrast
and light reflectance values. Importantly, it will introduce
guidelines for product selection, maintaining hygienic
floors and environmental benefits.
