Heli Pile is manufactured from part recycled
aluminium alloy Al-Si7Mg with stainless steel
connectors making it an excellent solution for both
permanent and temporary structures.
If used on temporary foundations, once the
structure is removed, Heli Pile can be simply
removed and recycled or even covered over to be
used again at a later date.
Heli Pile requires very little
equipment
to
install,
saving costs on both plant
and labour. The 64kg
special hammer driver is
connected to a compressor
which can be situated
remotely from the work.

Retaining wall repair in Gloucester
Powderham Castle
Because of the small size of the compact
machinery, Heli Pile can be installed wherever a
person can walk - and sometimes where they can’t.

A small number of bricks were removed from the
building wall to access the retaining wall behind.
Heli Pile was installed through the retaining wall as
a ground anchor, and secured with a stainless steel
pattress plate. Point loads were spread across the
entire wall by utilising a Bar Flex beam.

● wherever you can walk
On a recent repair project for Gloucestershire CC,
Target designed a method of accessing a retaining
wall that was located closely behind the wall of a
building that may be demolished at a later date.
With headroom of just 600mm, Target also had to
ensure that the building wall was made good,
ready for the storage of materials.
