Smart Fire UK Part Of £1m Redevelopment

When interior designer Dominic Parrish wanted a realistic
fireplace for his redevelopment of a luxury basement
apartment, he turned to Smart Fire UK.
Being a basement apartment with no access to a chimney
or flue, the EcoSmart fires were seen as the perfect
alternative for heating the room.
Because the fires run on bio-ethanol, a clean burning
fuel, they do not require any fume extraction devices,
meaning they can be installed virtually anywhere.
London based interior designer Dominic Parrish has been
in the industry for the past 1 5 years, and chose the fires
for their style and ease of use.

Herschel Infrared Heating brings up to 90%
cost and energy savings to test centre
Predicted to reduce energy consumption by 90%
compared with the previous heating system, Herschel far
infrared heaters have been installed in a vehicle test
centre and sub-let storage unit. The public sector client
also expects to see energy costs cut by 71% and carbon
emissions reduced by 76%.
The existing heating consisted of seven gas heaters, these
were not zoned or controlled and required large amounts
of air to be heated for significant periods of time.
The decision was taken to install 22 Herschel Advantage
infrared heaters with a total heat output of just 44.85kW,
a figure made possible because they offer directional
heat for staff where needed and also heat the fabric of the
building rather than the air.
