ACKNOWLEDGING EXCELLENCE
IN ARCHITECTURE
I’d like to think that this publication has become synonymous with the ideology of a strong
architectural and construction industry for the Maltese Islands which work closely together
for the collective benefit of economy and nation. This ideology is shared within the iMNG
group of brands’ product portfolio, and particularly so by Executive Events, of which
Malta Architect Awards forms part.
Malta Architect Awards is in its third year of operation. We are presently receiving
entries for this edition until the the end of July so I would encourage all architects and
interior designers to check out our website WWW.ARCHITECTAWARDS.COM.MT to
submit their work and find out more about the changes we have made to facilitate their
submissions, such that once one has identified the project/s one intends to enter, then it
should not take more than 15 minutes to actually submit the application.
Once again we augur to present another edition of the MAA that will showcase Malta’s best
works by its architects and interior designers. Nine categories will offer a glittering showcase
of their work and it is through the invaluable support of the Planning Authority to these Awards
that we are able to do this.
The Jury will evaluate projects based on the following criteria: Form, Function, Innovation and Quality.
This means that those architects who may feel that their project/s may be too mundane to be suitable for,
or capable of receiving an Award and could hence be hesitant to submit their work, should feel assured that we
acknowledge that “not all that does not glitter is not gold”. We also wish to point out that even work which may not
be deemed at face value to be unique could be deserving of a nod of appreciation; if not by winning the coveted Category
Award/s, then perhaps even via receiving a special commendation from this year’s Jury.
All projects are accepted as long as they follow the criteria of the category/ies applied for, and we encourage you to submit your work, or
to encourage the architects who worked on your preferred projects to do so.
Enjoy your read.
