Hot furnace fuel oil was
sprayed onto a stack and
contractors’ equipment on 24
December. Several attempts
were made to remove the spill
but failed. In May we were
called in to clean up.

The fuel oil had baked in the sun and formed a hard skin.Three spots
were tested with OilGoneHD. The first application of OilGoneHD was
applied with back-pack spray. Plastic sheeting and special oil absorbent
were laid down to prevent secondary contamination.
The second layer was applied and allowed to soak for 15 minutes
and washed off with water.
