The Buffalo Turbine Monsoon’s Competitive Advantage • The BUFFALO TURBINE MONSOON has a unique emitter arrangement that is unlikely to block regardless of the poor water quality prevalent on many Australian mines • The BUFFALO TURBINE MONSOON does not have a high pressure pump and operates on municipal tap pressure • The rate of water emission is adjustable according to requirement. • The BUFFALO TURBINE MONSOON is small, compact and mobile in relation to competitor models • THE BUFFALO TURBINE MONSOON IS COMPETITIVELY PRICED. Buffalo Turbine simplifies Wet Mist Suppression Wet mist suppression is one of the best methods for controlling dust, odour and smoke. By creating a matrix of micron size, atomized fluid (commonly water) droplets, fugitive airborne pollutants can be bound and knocked out of entrainment. Until the introduction of the Buffalo Turbine Monsoon Gyratory Atomizing Nozzle, wet mist suppression was accomplished by costly, complicated, high maintenance spray nozzles and bulky fans commonly used for making fog or snow. As water passes through the mesh screen of the revolutionary Gyratory Atomizing Nozzle, turbine force wind shatters the flow, producing a uniform micron size mist wall capable of suppressing dust, odour and smoke. This provides wet mist suppression at a fraction of the cost compared to spray nozzle type machines. The Monsoon Gyratory Nozzle has the additional advantage of using a large emission outlet. This means that it can be used in most Australian conditions without the possibility of blocking. The Monsoon uses standard municipal water pressure and common 3/4” garden hose connection. Water volume can be adjusted from 0 to around 80 litres per minute. Spray distance is equal to any of the more expensive units – in excess of 40 meters 33 horizontally and 17 meters vertically, in neutral wind conditions. Spray direction can be changed using a wireless remote control. Greater Value The simplified arrangement means that effective dust suppression can be achieved at a substantially reduced cost in comparison to similar equipment. Interchangeable mounting options make the Buffalo Turbine Monsoon system portable and versatile between varying job-site environments. Options The BTM is available in several power source options and compact, versatile mounting configurations. Each monsoon features the same legendary Buffalo Turbine single stage blower utilized in the motor sports industry. Petrol, diesel , electrical, hydraulic and PTO options. The Buffalo Turbine Monsoon is a powerful, cost effective solution to dust desIgn Namibia October - December 2013 control.
