“When life gives you lemons, you make
lemonade. Then find someone whose life is
giving them vodka and have a party!”
~ Ron White
On 12 September 2013, we were fortunate
enough to celebrate our official launch at our
brand-new premises at the corner of Schiller
and Luther Street in Eros. It was an event that
hopefully sparked up a memory for life to all
who attended while also delighting us as it
continued well into the night. Marc Machtelinckx
(owner) introduced the ELDC members on board
the Namibian endeavour, Ronelle van Niekerk
(branch manager) and Andelaine Humphries
(administration) and informed the public in a
short speech what our purpose and vision is for
the future.
evening and were received very well.
A warm word of thanks goes to everyone who
attended and served our event. It was indeed a
special evening and will long be remembered as
the launching pad for greater things to come.
If consultation is required on any project you
might be working on, feel free to phone or mail
us any time. We provide professional lighting
consultation, design and luminance calculations
and will be able to assist you with a proposal
and quotation for the project at hand. ELDC
Namibia looks forward to providing a service
of a high standard and hopes to hear from you
soon.
We were privileged to showcase all the lights we
had supplied for the Nujoma Building by means
of a walkthrough with all the guests present.
Everything from the LED effectiveness to the
profound technical detail and design sensitivity
was admired and captured.
The evening entailed a welcoming with French
champagne, delicious snacks and sushi platters
made up by the talented “Blikbeker” Caterer,
Levien Brown, music by an endowed local DJ
(Frank) from Ubuntu Events and an open bar. A
group photo was taken of all attendees and time
was spent socialising and interacting in a lighthearted style. The lucky prize draw added a
special flavour to the evening as architect Oliver
Quarmby and electrician Connie Human each
won splendid prizes.
On leaving the event, each guest was given
a gift bag with catalogues and other treats.
Catalogues were made available during the
