Firstly I would like to thank all our loyal readers –
because of your support we are able to make DesIgn
bigger than ever. Looking at the statistics and the
letters that you send us, you clearly enjoy reading
DesIgn online, and we are determined to keep on
giving you the free online magazine of the highest
quality that you have grown accustomed to.
In this edition we look at the ultra-modern Integrated
Dental Holdings building in the article, A dentist you
would want to visit.
We also take a look at Jan Spruyt’s new Bushbar that
is located in the heart of Olympia.
Instead of discussing old buildings we took a closer
look in this edition at the Habitat Centre which Nina
Maritz designed. The article is about using recycled
products as building materials.
In the interior section Ronel talks about making
spaces. She suggests solutions for when there is just
not enough space in a loft-style apartment. We also
have a look at entertainment areas in our unique
country. We visit Heron Haus Interior & Décor, a
brand-new interior and décor centre that recently
opened in the heart of Klein Windhoek.
In the food and wine section we take a look at Charly’s
bakery that had a humble beginning at Swakopmund,
but has grown into a landmark in Cape Town.
Finally we do sparkling wines and Nougat pairing with
J.C. Le Roux.
I hope you will enjoy this edition!
