The subtle accent. Words: Rudolph Jordaan A-Pax design Pty (Ltd) The infamous quest for a sublime accent to interior spaces has had individuals at the edge of their interior stools, designers or not. We strive for balance, impact and individuality in a colour but how we go about it without giving preference to our most loved colour since childhood, can seem daunting. In no way am I suggesting that we, as designers or homemakers, should disregard a client’s for our own choice or favourite, as this is exactly the challenge that gives designing and decorating the thrill when we succeed in reducing, reworking and implementing accents in subtle splendour.
