Designing this townhouse living room was a unique creative experience . The homeowners wanted a departure from the typical color palettes and they wanted the new design to incorporate their existing deep purple velvet wing chair and existing carpet . When designing a space , Designer Jacklynn Little , always begins with fabrics . In this case , that included a harmonious blend of deep purples , lavender and silvery grays for an elegant yet comfortable space . To ensure a seamless design , a new custom sofa was designed with silvery gray velvet upholstery to coordinate with the carpet along with two matching custom chairs in a unique purple and taupe patterned fabric . The room ' s focal point became a colorful piece of art behind the sofa , perfectly aligned with the new design . The homeowners were a delight to collaborate with and as a result , they were exceedingly pleased with the overall design .
