hen designing a room , the most important factor is making the homeowner happy , of course !
She had her heart set on a traditional white kitchen that was more functional , yet also elegant and light filled , and welcoming to friends and family .
To achieve this , we removed an existing corner pantry and maximized the layout with clever planning and storage that included room for an extensive spice collection , as well as specialized storage for utensils , cooking tools and recycling . We also turned an awkward wall into a family " command centre " for charging electronics , stashing mail and hiding school backpacks .
The standout features of this kitchen include the oversize hood fan as well as the stylish lighting fixtures . We consider lighting to be important both in form and aesthetics , and these gorgeous fixtures made the space even more special .
We ' re also crazy about the gray quartz , chosen for its subtle and contemporary veining . We wanted to create a traditional kitchen that didn ' t look fussy . The materials and hardware we chose were therefore elegant yet also contemporary in nature .
The end product is one we ' re really proud of--and one that meets our most important goal of making our clients happy to work and live in such an inviting and pretty space ! - House Crush Design Studio , www . housecrush . ca
