On February 1, 2019, Maria retired from the
Niagara Regional Police Service after 32 years
of dedicated service. For 10 plus years, part
of her duties included planning and executing
some of the Service’s most important events
such as; Award Ceremonies, Memorial Services,
Conferences, Graduation Ceremonies, Canine
Graduations and Opening Ceremonies to name
a few. Maria also raised the Service’s community
profile by organizing numerous community
engagement opportunities including; Food
Drive Campaigns, Out of the Cold, Christmas
fundraisers for less fortunate families, to name
a few. From this, a passion for event planning
was born. In the Event by Maria specializes in
gourmet Charcuterie Boards, Grazing Tables
and Grab & Go Charcuterie, allowing people to
step out of the ordinary every once in a while
to give real honor to the people and events
that shape their lives and bond their families
together.
