Below is a poster of his from 1935 showing : ‘ Testing the Waterproof Qualities of Umbrellas ’. It comes from his book called Absurdities . A very apt title it seems !

We ’ d like you to look closely at the image and think about the following : – Why have the men got candles on their head ? – What is the purpose of the shower ? – Why do the men going into the shower look rather uncertain ?
