COMMUNITY APPRECIATION AWARD
DAN & PATTI TATE
“Passionate about service to community...”
These are the words expressed over and over again in
describing Dan and Patti Tate.
The Tates are highly respected in the community and are
known for going above and beyond expectations in their
service to the community.
Dan is president of the Don Ferrarese Charitable foundation,
which offers eleven (11) $4,000 scholarships annually to a
high school senior at each participating school. Scholarship
awards are based on the recipient’s contributions of service
to community. To date, the foundation has awarded one-
hundred and twenty two $4,000 scholarships.
Additionally, the foundation sponsors an annual “Santa’s
Sleigh Toy Drive” where they buy toys for over 400 children
in need every Christmas. This involves a highly personalized
approach as the organization gives each child the opportunity
to create a wish list; a volunteer goes shopping for the gifts;
the gifts are wrapped; and then each family has their own
personal appointment with Santa to receive the gifts.
The Ferrarese Foundation also sponsors an annual Veterans
Holiday Tribute, a free lunch and emotional patriotic tribute
honoring Americas Veterans.
Dan & Patti Tate are very involved in providing resources
and assistance to other non-profits in the community, as
well. Through their support of local social causes, they have
donated nearly $2 million dollars to local charities.
An astute business man, Dan is considered one of the
most experienced and successful land brokers in the Victor
Valley. Successfully closing over $1 Billion in combined
transactions over the past twenty-six (26) years, Dan has
established himself an industry leader. He has facilitated
the entitlement and subsequent development of over
100,000 residential lots throughout the Victor Valley and
Antelope Valley. With classical training in Investment Real
Estate, he has an acute understanding of how to value,
assess and capitalize development opportunities that
make economical sense, including multi-family, retail,
industrial and residential development.
