Marks and spencer announce they will be closing 30 stores in the UK due to consistently bad fixtures from the clothing ranges. Alexa Chung’s recent collection was a really bold move for M&S with many of the items selling out in all sizes. M&S will also be converting 45 of their stores into food only stores as food is the more successful side of the brand.

Stella McCartney launched her debut menswear line along with her womenswear SS17 collection. The inspiration for the menswear came from the men in her life and great men in the world she thought had an impact. Another point of inspiration was London, in particular its musical history. ‘I’m very happy with where we are with the womenswear and I felt like it was time for the Stella woman to have a complement; the Stella man.’ Said Stella when asked, why is now the right time for the brand to introduce the category?

Net-A-Porter are teaming up with Reformation to make an exclusive party collaboration, which will be the first time Reformation is available to buy globally. "Their distribution is very limited, so we felt there was huge opportunity to bring them to the Net-A-Porter global customer. The price points are amazing so we think it will appeal to new customers, as well as our extremely important people clients." Said Sarah Rutson, vice president of global buying at Net-A-Porter. Karlie Kloss, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Hailey Baldwin are just a few of the famous face who have been spotted in the brand and helped it to get its name. The brand also source all there limited edition collections ethically.

Sophia Webster the London born designer launches her SS17 collection, which was inspired by Diana Ross, The Shirelles, Martha and the Vandellas and other 60’s icons. Since her debut collection at London Fashion Week in 2013, Sophia has stuck with her style of playful presentations and has grown a loyal fan club of celebrities, including Scarlett Johansson and Nicki Minaj. ‘My favourite piece is the “Firebird Sandal” which I wore to our presentation; they are bold and full of vibrant colour, which embodies this season’s collection.’ Said Sophia when asked about her SS17 collection.
