Quality Control

How could you make this style simpler?

The shirt has some small abrasions on the sleeve which although add detail as there aren’t many of them on the garment the consumer may not notice them when purchasing the item and may later think they are a fault to the item. These abrasions may also grow after time and form rips after wear, this may become an issue.

What problems do you see with the style?

It’s not suitable for all sizes due to the shirt having poppers if you were slightly larger or broad these poppers may come undone with movement. The shirt has a pocket on each side, this makes this shirt look more casual and for everyday wear, although it is £35 so is priced as more of a formal wear item.

What do you see as the major issues for production with this style?

The sample is missing a popper so in production this may become a problem if lots of the items lose poppers the company will lose money as won’t be able to sell these items. It may also be a manufacturing fault that the poppers are not attached correctly this could mean the garments could be purchased by the customer who may then later have problems with the garment due to the poppers falling off.
