Retailer, Urban Outfitters are a women and men's clothing store that also sell footwear, beauty, accessories and homewear. The homewear and store layout has a bohemian, retro, vintage style. Urban Outiffters are owned by the same company as more expenive retailers Anthropolige and Free People who are targeted at more mature audience. Urban Outfitters target audience is from 18-28, although some people may say it is overpriced, this may be a down fall for the brand as the younger target audience may find it hard to afford. Urban Outfiiters use social media to communicate with their target audience due to the age of their target audience. The brand also email their customers with updates and offers, the cutomers have to sign up for email updates either when they buy something in store or online.

Missguided and Urban Outiftters are very different due to the fact that Missguided are mostly online, where as Urban Outfitters are a bricks and mortar store. Although both stores target audience age is similar the brands have a very differnt feel. Misssguided is more for someone looking for something to wear on a night out or looking for an alternative to a celebrity's style, where as Urban Outiftters is more day wear for someone with a more edgy retro look. The target audience may also differ due to the differnce in price range between the two brands, although both high street brands an item in Urban Outfitters is going to be more expensive than if you were to buy it from Missguided. This may attract differnt customers to the brands and is part of the communication of the brands.
