explore a local distillery? You may have heard of craft
breweries in Colorado, but there is also a booming craft
distillery industry. And we have some “pairings” that
will help guide you to the one closest to your resort.
IF YOU ARE SKIING AT KEYSTONE, COPPER
MOUNTAIN, OR BRECKENRIDGE:
Check out the Breckenridge Distillery, which is
advertised as “house spirits meets gastropub fare” with
an impressive 4.5-star rating. Breckenridge (www.
breckenridgedistillery.com) offers something for everyone,
with novel twists on common spirits, like Breckenridge
Pear Vodka, Spiced Rum and their banana-tinged bourbon.
IF YOU ARE SKIING AT VAIL OR BEAVER CREEK:
Visit the 10th Mountain and 808 Distilleries just west
of the slopes along Interstate 70. At 10th Mountain

rye, moonshine, vodka, and cordials in their comfortable
tasting room. At the 808 Distillery (www.808distill.com),
be sure to sample the wildly popular Leo Limoncello,
based on founder Jeff Leonard’s family recipe. Their

Peach Street is the place to go if you have a hankering
for light, crisp fruit-flavored Eau de Vie, made
