Furnishing in harmony
The project of a villa with a splendid view of Lake Garda: a top-quality
abode that can be enjoyed in full harmony with indoor and outdoor
spaces.
The drafting of a house design is never a simple path that runs
smoothly on prearranged tracks; quite the contrary, it is a process in the
making whose direction depends on several factors related both to the
physical features of the location and on the housing needs of future
residents.
For this newly-built villa, the well-established partnership between
architect Silvia Zatti and the Squassabia Store Arredamento e Design
showroom in Sirmione — Brescia — here represented by Luigi Ferrario
led to the creation of a building designed closely together with the
construction site, able to understand the owners’ needs — a couple —
through flexible volumes and conceived to live both indoor and outdoor
spaces in harmony with the natural context.
As a matter of fact, the location benefits from a breath-taking view on
the surrounding landscape of Lake Garda which is always perceivable
both from indoor spaces and from the equipped outdoor ones too.
On the ground floor, a wide open space is enlarged and enhanced by
the direct contact with the swimming pool area and the surrounding
park, overlooked thanks to large glass windows. On the first floor,
spaces open on wide terraces with glass railings.
Hence, the natural landscape is always in the foreground. The peculiar
master bedroom has a private spa that overlooks the swimming pool;
the flooring is placed slightly lower, creating an unusual and very
impressive visual effect.
As far as it concerns the interior, each space is accurate in every detail
thanks to elements born of the synergy of aims between Silvia Zatti and
Luigi Ferrario, such as the curtains that hide the TV with an automated
opening system, the wainscoting in the bathroom and in the sitting
room but also the owner’s workstation.
Modular elements such as the kitchen, rooms and the walk-in closet are
of the highest quality. A series of hand-made relics, vintage items and
selected artworks complete the settings.
