Glamour style mood In the central Verona — in the bourgeois heart of the city that overlooks the Adige river —, we discover a rigorous project made of light and geometries. We are on the attic floor of a mid-1950s building that has been completely reinterpreted by Philippos Photiadis’ architectural firm in Athens and renovated to make way for an important art collection. A project where bourgeois minimalism, reinterpreted classicism and strategy are tied to the tailor-made craftsmanship of local suppliers that carried out all custom- made and customized main elements of the project. The leitmotif is the modern wainscoting with frameworks that defines spaces to integrate retractable treasure chests and signature works. The mood board and the lighting design have been later entrusted to Moodesignacademy, responsible for the search of furniture items and the colour palette with dusty tones, brightened up by golden metal glares. It all started with the choice of a quilted sofa that dominates the space and has later forced the position of a few other selected items, recognizable and with cultured references. The powder pink rug defines a space where vintage small tables in tinted glass express themselves. A second sofa — as soft as a hug — has been designed for a more private corner, dedicated to relaxation and reading. Bountiful curtains to filter light, enveloping fabrics and shapes for padded elements and marble vibes for the choice of the table frame a scene that respects the memory of the place, which is even more sophisticated thanks to the slatted floor with a herringbone pattern. The finishing touch of these decorating choices — inspired by a Deco line — can be attributed instead to the sophisticated elegance of the landlady who has embraced geometric patterns too in the master bedroom. Architecture, interior design and art: a dynamic relationship that opens a dialogue with perfect proportions, distinguished by an unmistakable stylish mark.
