Scorcio del bagno padronale: il raffinato rivestimento in rovere avvolge la doccia e le pareti. In primo piano, mobile sospeso con cassetto e piano bianco (Far Arreda). ENG. Mind-boggling beauty A penthouse overlooking the roofs of Brescia and surrounded by history, art and magnificence. Just one step through the door and the lobby makes you hold your breath: your gaze — directed by the linearity of the partition cabinet — turns to the terrace and the wonderful sight of the city rooftops. The penthouse — placed in the heart of Brescia — is topped with the history and art of the cupola of the cathedral together with bell towers and historic residences. A mind-boggling beauty surrounds this dwelling, chosen by a family eager to live in beauty, not only outside but also inside their house. The abode covers a large size on the top floor; it connects different landscape frames with the contemporary beauty of indoor spaces. Then, the aesthetic and planimetric structure reveals the unprecedented design that since the beginning of the makeover has tried to look for and to highlight housing elegance but also the artistic value of the context. The layout is born of the turnkey renovation assigned to Far Arreda’s interior designers. From the entrance of the house, the vantage point soon shifts to both sides, where the living room and the kitchen develop. The living room is modern and linear, illuminated by wide French doors without curtains —to not obscure the view — and focused on the large L-shaped sofa that defines the space, in line with the nearby pair of armchairs with a wavy design and the fireplace on the side wall. A sculpture on the small wooden table warms up the atmosphere while matching with the antique-style dining table, surrounded by leather chairs with different shapes and colours. On the side, a sliding door in tinted glass separates the convivial area from the ultra-modern kitchen: wide and elegant, the culinary space is organized both along the walls with minimal white lacquered compositions alternating with inserts of black granite but also in the middle of the kitchen, with the peninsula and the cooking area. Landscape frameworks add value to the sleeping area too, built in a more private position compared to the living space. Bedrooms reflect the essential and clean design of modern style by including the most creative solutions which turn bedrooms into comfortable study areas, connected to their en-suite bathrooms.
