The Magellano 66 is designed for those who love long-range cruising in complete freedom, thanks to optimised consumption and performance, the privacy ensured by separate guest and crew areas, and the convenience of generous storage spaces. Developed by the Azimut | Benetti R & D team, the Magellano 66 features an evolved second-generation Dual Mode hull, building on the proven success of previous models. Once again, Azimut Yachts combines cutting-edge technology with a focus on environmental responsibility, reflecting a growing commitment to protecting the marine ecosystem. The Dual Mode hull is paired with extensive use of carbon fibre, ensuring reduced weight and maximum efficiency. Life on board revolves around comfort, with the freedom to choose between convivial moments and peaceful relaxation, thanks to flexible layouts, large windows, and smart solutions. The main deck is arranged on a single level: from the aft cockpit to the helm station, there isn’ t a single step, allowing guests to move freely between interior and exterior spaces. The helm station and galley are separated from the rest of the main living area; this means the crew can work on board without disturbing guests and can also access the side decks through a side door. For those who prefer a more open-plan layout, a version with low furniture and an open galley is also available. On the lower deck, in addition to the full-beam owner’ s suite, there are two guest cabins and a versatile“ bonus” room. This space can be used for additional storage, set up as a pantry or converted into an extra cabin with bunk beds. The cockpit stands out for its flexibility: the dining area can be transformed into a generous relaxation space, where guests can unwind just a few metres from the sea. This once again reflects the yard’ s desire to create multifunctional spaces to be enjoyed in total freedom. The second-generation Dual Mode hull, developed in collaboration with Studio P. L. A. N. A., ensures excellent comfort and exceptional stability both at displacement speeds of around 10 – 12 knots and at higher speeds, reaching a top speed of 23 knots. The Magellano 66 is powered by twin 850 hp MAN engines and, in addition to being CE certified in Category A, complies with the shipyard’ s High Technical Standard( HTS) declaration, which certifies the advanced technical standards used in its design and construction.
