Program teaching students leadership
skills in fun ways.

T

hey nervously stood in line, many with
eyes filled with anticipation and fear
not knowing what to expect.
Rick Holliman sensed their weariness and
eased the high school students’ fear with
an easy smile in an alley just off the Denton
Courthouse Square and ushered them
into the utility room. It was illuminated
by orescent lights and literally stocked
from oor to ceiling with canned goods,
oversized bags of rice, pasta, paper
products and cleaning supplies.
The students were still a bit overwhelmed
when they exited the kitchen to greet a
crowded dining room filled wall to wall with
