Bill Carrico Athletic Complex and Fieldhouse
On the Braswell High property sits the Bill Carrico Athletic Complex and Fieldhouse , an appropriate tribute given the impact Carrico had on so many student-athletes during his time as an educator , coach and athletic director for Denton ISD . The design of the Carrico Athletic Complex provides the district with the option to expand the facility to accommodate the area ’ s fast growth .
Sergio Valdez and Jose Lopez , American Concrete Concepts , put the finishing touches on the inlaid logo that lies in the school ’ s vestibule . The pair worked three days to ensure that the detailing was correct hand mixing everything from the dye to mica chips . “ We realize this will be here for as long as the school stands , so we wanted to make sure everything was perfect ,” said Lopez .
