From the Publisher Denton County Founder & CEO Josh Cates Vice President & CFO Bob Cates Publisher Sam & Spring Houston Feature Writer/Copy Editor Social Media Director Sondra Barr Art Director Jeff Rawson Welcome Back It’s been a particularly cold winter, but we’re excited to start thawing out and enjoying a season of renewal. Start turning the pages of our spring issue and you’ll find a variety of articles from local medical, legal, and financial experts right here in our neighborhood with useful information on how to navigate challenges and reenergize your life. Dig deeper into this issue and you’ll find examples of people just like you who’ve been helped by the educated and experienced businesses in this community. Speaking of, we can all think of a number of ways that living in this community is so special. At the top of our list: a dynamic health and wellness community, which strongly supports the wellbeing of the area’s residents. But, these local business professionals need the support of those living and working in the area. Every dollar spent here makes a difference. One of the best ways you can assure the area continues to have the best and brightest professionals working nearby is by patronizing them. So, think local. Meanwhile, you also won’t want to miss our story on Rosanne Cash, who’s part of a country music legacy. She’s also experiencing a renewal of sorts since recovering from brain surgery for a condition called Chiari malformation type 1, which Cash says caused her cerebellum to put pressure on her brain stem. Read how she was able to recover both physically and emotionally and get back to what’s in her legendary DNA––making music. As always, thank you for your support. Keep an eye out for our next issue this summer.
