When the air you exhale gets up past the mask, you get fogging. Here are a few tips on preventing your glasses from fogging when wearing medical face masks: • Don’t wear your mask too high up on your face because that makes it difficult to get a proper air seal. • Many of the surgical type of masks have a little metal band in the nose area. You want to place that metal band over your nose and crimp it pretty tight on your nose to create a good seal. • Also try taking a piece of 1” tape and tape the top of the mask to the top of your nose, under your glasses. This will create a perfect seal and stop the fogging issue. Naturally, the best way to prevent foggy glasses is to rid your need for glasses.
