Dr. Robert Chen
Dr. Robert Chen is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management phy-
sician who joins us from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He has been in practice for
over 19 years and focuses on the treatment of acute and chronic pain through
interventional methods. Dr. Chen attended the Penn State University College of
Medicine and completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in anesthesi-
ology and critical care in Baltimore. He then completed a pain medicine fellow-
ship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He has
worked with some of the most prominent leaders in the field of pain medicine.
Dr. Chen realizes that there are many competing entities such as govern-
ment regulations, medical regulations, pharmacy limitations, insurance limita-
tions as well as economic factors which may affect which treatment options
are available to each patient. He hopes to be able to evaluate the options
available to each individual patient and optimize their treatments. Dr. Chen
believes in achieving a balance between the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of a patient’s health.
By combining his experience with advanced pain management techniques and realistic treat-
ment options, Dr. Chen hopes to achieve the best possible outcomes and significantly improve his pa-
tients’ quality of life. Dr. Chen loves to spend time with his family, travel, and photography.
