Andrew Chambers, M.D.
Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Andrew Chambers is an orthopedic surgeon with the
Dallas Orthopedic Joint Institute and specializes in minimally
invasive hip and knee replacement surgery. He received
extensive training at Harvard Medical School and
Massachusetts General Hospital performing minimally
invasive hip and knee replacement including the direct
anterior hip replacement, partial knee replacement, revision
surgery for malfunctioning, loose, and infected hip and knee
replacements, arthroscopic surgery of the hip and knee, and
revision of failed metal-on-metal total hip replacement
implants. Dr. Chambers focuses special attention on surgical
techniques for rapid recovery after total joint replacement
which allow his patients a more predictable and earlier
return to home and an active lifestyle.
Dr. Chambers is pleased to offer the MAKOplasty
Robotic-Arm Assisted partial/total knee replacement
and total hip replacement. The MAKOplasty procedure is
changing the way joint replacement surgeries are
performed by providing each patient with a
personalized surgical experience based on their specific
diagnosis and unique anatomy using a CT-based 3D
modeling. The robotic arm technology allows for
extremely precise placement of hip/knee components
with less soft tissue injury. The MAKOplasty procedure is
so effective that patients are often walking hours after
surgery with little to no pain.
