A NEW PULMONOLOGIST IN TOWN
Introducing Dr. Sudheer Nambiar

We interviewed Dr. Nambiar, a triple board
certified Pulmonary Critical Care physician
who is moving to Texas from Glasgow, Kentucky to join Medical Experts of Texas, PA
(MET).

First, what made you choose to specialize in
Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine?
I initially chose my specialties because the Pulmonologists in my first Intensive Care Unit were remarkable
role models. They were truly unique individuals, who
could deal with the most complicated problems in
extremely ill patients, while displaying empathy and
compassion for the friends and families of the critically
ill. Ultimately, my passion for critical care evolved into
a genuine appreciation for the complexity of lung diseases, as well as an opportunity to help develop a
new sub-specialty within Pulmonary and Critical Care
Medicine—Interventional Pulmonology. This sub-specialty combines my interests in procedural medicine,
novel treatments for malignancies, and active involvement with cri ѥ
