Dental Veneers vs. Crowns: Differences between the two? Difference Between Dental Veneers and Crowns | Page 3
How Are Porcelain Crowns
Installed?
Installing dental crowns requires the damaged tooth to be repaired, and the
dentist may also have to scrape out the existing decay on the old tooth to get
it in the right shape to support the new crown.
The tooth is filled down in such a way that the new crown can be fixed
perfectly without causing any kind of pain.
The dentist creates a mold of the tooth and ensures that the crown is of the
right shape.
Then the dental porcelain crown is created in the lab and uses dental
cement to ensure a permanent fixture.
