he MicrO2 is the first CAD/
CAM milled Sleep device,
designed for patient comfort
and compliance. The MicrO2 has
many unique features. Doctors
asked the MicrO2 design team
for a simple, metal free, and
comfortable appliance. The
lingual-less design of the
MicrO2 offers a high level of
comfort, and the controlled
cured PMMA enables a strong
yet smaller device. The MicrO2
does not use common titration
mechanisms such as the Jack
Screw or Herbst, and thus has
no metal or need for tools that
patients need to learn to use.
The MicrO2 uses an innovative
titration method, combining
pairs of upper/lower arches
to create stepped protrusion
settings.
The digital design and CAD/
CAM workflow enables precise
replication of the body of
the oral appliance splint. The
innovative placement of the
posts on each arch creates
protrusion by combinations
of the upper and lower
arches with the posts in offset
positions. In the Series A, four
arches are supplied (Fig. 1). The
Lower arch zero (L0) and the
Upper arch zero (U0) shown
together on the model, and 2
additional adjustment arches
shown next to the model. (Fig.
2) shows the MicrO2 in exactly
the sleep bite position (zero
position) taken by the doctor
(U0/L0). This is the starting
point for the patient’s treatment
journey. (Fig. 3) shows the all
the possible combinations of
the Series A, as shown on the
back of the MicrO2 Rx.

(Fig. 4) shows the MicrO2
with the L1 arch and U2 arch
together, creating 3 mm of
protrusion (L1+U2 = 3 mm). The
Series A is the most commonly
ordered of the MicrO2 Series,
and many patients are fully
treated with the Series A. Other
MicrO2 Series are available

The MicrO2 is the first CAD/CAM
milled sleep device, designed
by doctors for patients. The
MicrO2 has a 3 year warranty
and a 7 day in-lab time.
