IMPORTANT RECOMENDATION :
PROOF OF DELIVERY FOR EVERY PATIENT
As you ' re likely aware , the medical billing landscape is constantly changing . At DS3 , we strive to stay abreast of these changes and keep you apprised of the information you need to know to ensure accuracy and expediency of your claims processing .
Please be advised that for insurance claims , more and more insurance companies are requesting the following :
• PROOF OF DELIVERY
• LAB INVOICE
If you ' re a DS3 member , you can find a Proof of Delivery Form on your DS3 Software under the " Forms " tab . Your patients should sign the form when receiving the mandibular advancement device ( E0486 ).
We recommend all offices upload this signed copy of the proof of delivery as well as the lab invoice into " patient images " when sending your claims through your DS3 software . Your billing coordinator will then be able to efficiently forward this to the patient ' s insurance carrier when requested . This simple action on your end will increase the likelihood that your claim will be accurate and you can avoid any rejections or extra work in the long run .
