The Danish Embassy works in various ways on Sustainable Smart Cities. The Danish Embassy works towards a Strate- gic Partnership with India that includes Sustainable Smart Cities. Denmark and India have bilateral cooperation on Sustainable and Smart Urban Development as well as on Environment. Strategic Sector Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is an initiative mobilizing the competencies of Danish public authorities directly in long-term strategic cooperation and partnerships with counterpart institutions. Such Strategic Sector Coop- eration on Sustainable Urban Water Management has been established between the Dan- ish City of Aarhus, its partner Aarhus Vand and the City of Udaipur in India. This Stra- tegic Sector Cooperation has been established within the Aarhus Vand Memorandum of Understand- ing on Urban Water Manage- ment between City of Aarhus and City of Denmark. Bilateral Cooperation between India and Denmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sustainable and Smart Urban Development Denmark and India signed a MoU on Sustainable and Smart Urban Development with the objective of promoting bilateral cooperation in the fields of sustainable and smart urban development in April 2018. The areas of cooperation is in the field of sustainable urban development including smart solutions and liveability. The cooperation will be in form of collaboration between governments, governmental agencies, academics, experts and other parties.
