Habitat.
Silvery Phacelia is a perennial flowering herb that occurs only on coastal sand dunes and bluffs from Coos and Curry counties in southern Oregon to Del Norte County in northern California. Its total global range is restricted to approximately 130 miles of the immediate coast (Randall et al 1988) .
fleshy perennial herb that is 4" to 17" tall. Stem isprostrate to ascending, stiff-hairy, not glandular. Leaf: is 1/2" to 4" wide petiole, elliptic to obovate to round, lobes veins are deeply impressed. Flowers are calyx lobes 1/4" to 1/2" narrowly oblong to ovate; corolla is bell-shaped, white to cream, limb 1/2" in diamter; scales fused to filament bases; fruit is 1/2", ovoid, stiff-hairy (Randall et al 1988).
