20Th July 2017 For the 5th time, Port Adriano is celebrating the summer with a series of live concerts by great artists, with Tom Jones opening the festival on 20th July. Over his 50-year long career he has sold more than 100 million records. On 25th July, George Benson will take to the stage at the superyacht marina in the south-west of the Island. The winner of ten Grammy Awards, he will be performing his greatest hits as well as material from his latest album.
20. Juli 2017 Zum 5. Mal feiert Port Adriano den Sommer mit Live-Konzerten großer Künstler aus den USA. Das Opening übernimmt am 20. Juli Tom Jones, der in seiner 50-jährigen Karriere über 100 Millionen Tonträger verkaufte. Am 25. Juli wird George Benson im Superjachthafen im Südwesten der Insel auf der Bühne stehen. 29Th July- 5Th AugusT 2017 The 36th Copa del Rey Audi Mapfre, one of Mallorca’ s most prestigious regattas, begins on 29th July. Up to 2011 King Juan Carlos of Spain was one of the most prominent participants. It has not yet been confirmed, but the awards ceremony on 5th August may be held in his presence.

2Nd AugusT 2017 On 2nd August the festival in honour of the patron of the town, La Mare de Déu dels Àngels, is celebrated with a mock battle between Moors and Christians. Shortly before dawn, around 5am, the Pollença town band plays the Patrona anthem‘ L’ Alborada’ in the market square. Dressed in costumes, the local citizens re-enact the historic battle of 1550 when their forebears managed to ward off an attack by Moorish pirates. A varied programme of events starts a few days beforehand.
2. AugusT 2017 Am 2. August findet in Pollença die nachgestellte Schlacht „ Moros y Cristianos” statt, anlässlich der Feier zu Ehren der Ortspatronin La Mare de Déu dels Àngels. Um 5 Uhr morgens spielt die Kapelle auf dem Marktplatz die Hymne „ L’ Alborada”. Die Bürger der Stadt stellen in Kostümen die historische Schlacht nach, als es ihren Vorfahren 1550 gelang, einen Angriff maurischer Piraten abzuwehren. Einige Tage vorher beginnt bereits ein buntes Rahmenprogramm.
