DAY 3
Destination: Etosha National Park - Damaraland
……………………………………………………………………………
After breakfast flight into the Damaraland. Arrival and
check-in. Late afternoon we drive to Twyfelfontein,
which is a world heritage site. Guided walk to the
famous bushmen engravings.
Twyfelfontein, meaning doubtful fountain, which
lies to the west of Khorixas, resembles a large, openair art gallery. This treasure house of rock engravings
left by stone-age artists is regarded as one of the
richest collections in Africa.
Damaraland:
The Damaraland and Kaokoveld lie in the dry,
northwestern Region of Namibia, which acts as a
sanctuary to desert-dwelling elephants and offer some
of the most dramatic scenery in the country – rugged
mountains, expansive gravel plains and sweeping
river valleys.
