She gazed around her dark room for a moment, letting her eyes adjust to the dim light of her alarm clock, 12:30. He’s late. “I got to be home by eleven,” he had said as traced his ?ngers down the side of her face. Kate smiled at him and got up from the sofa. “Plenty of time.” He began loosening his tie while following her into the bedroom. ) “We only have an hour or two.
